Hydraulic Technician Job Responsibilities
- Engaging in hydraulic repair and maintenance both in the shop and on-site on various vessels.
- Disassembling cranes on the vessels, transporting them to the shop for repair.
- Conducting thorough diagnostics and performing needed repairs or replacements.
- Reassembling the repaired equipment back on the vessels.
- Managing multiple projects at once, with typically 8-10 cranes being worked on simultaneously in the shop.
- Collaborating with a team of skilled technicians and ensuring safety protocols are always followed.
- Continually updating knowledge of the latest techniques and best practices in hydraulic repair, particularly in the marine industry.
Qualifications
- Must have experience as a hydraulic technician, with a strong focus on repair and maintenance.
- Preferably possesses knowledge of the marine industry.
- Comfortable working on boats, with no fear of heights or water.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
