About Hey guys, I am a 25 year old marine engineer from Cornwall in the UK. I have spent the last 6 years studying and practicing engineering with a heavy focus on the marine industry, spending the last 6 months building and developing yachts for a company called Cockwells local to me. I have a real passion for boat engineering and I also love to travel, I know I currently don’t have any on board experience on a yacht but it’s an industry I’m so eager to get stuck into, I do daily studies on yacht engine systems and subject areas relevant to become the best yacht engineer I could possibly be. I consider myself an extremely quick learner and will put in the hours in my own personal time to quickly become the ideal candidate you wan’t as part of your engineering team. Over these last couple of years completing my masters and becoming an established engineer at a boat building company I've really developed a wealth of experience and knowledge of the marine engineering trade and have gained multiple skills that I can't wait to apply out at sea. I’m a very sociable, outgoing guy and never have any trouble striking up or getting stuck into a good conversation with pretty much anybody. I love working as part of a solid team and can’t wait to build some great relationships throughout my time onboard. I am ready and cannot wait to travel anywhere and everywhere that is required to get the job done. Alongside engineering I have spent the last few years working as a bartender in a 5 star hotel, gaining valuable commercial awareness and experience addressing well established customers and guests in a professional and polite manner. Aside from engineering, I’m always happy to get stuck in to any extra jobs around the boat and will always pitch in to help anyone that needs it without hesitation, bringing a hardworking and upbeat ethos with me at all times.
