Greetings! I'm a 21-year-old Italian whose love for the yachting world started when I was just a little kid. Let me share the story of my maritime journey, which began right by the water:
From my earliest memories, I've been immersed in the enchanting world of yachting. Imagine me as a small child, spending summer days on boats and inflatables with my father, casting lines and reveling in the joy of the sea.
As I grew, so did my passion. Eight adventurous years were dedicated to canoeing, navigating the waters with the excitement of a young explorer. This period laid the foundation for my deep connection with aquatic adventures.
Taking the plunge into underwater exploration, I achieved a first-degree federal apnea certificate. Those were the days of underwater fishing, where the sea became both my playground and my sanctuary. I've had incredible experiences at sea, fishing with friends, and embarking on breathtaking breath-holding descents, exploring magnificent underwater landscapes.
Culminating my maritime interests, I earned my nautical license at the age of 20, a license I actively utilized on inflatables and boats. I explored islands during the summer, turning my license into a gateway for unforgettable experiences. This experience significantly enhanced my skills in handling and maintaining boats, including engines and inflatables.
The journey then sailed into the realm of inflatables, where I worked with a company called Foodinghy. Utilizing inflatables for work not only allowed me to improve my ability to navigate them but also honed my skills in engine maintenance and general boat care—everything that comes with being out on the water.
The zenith of my experience unfolded on a splendid Riva yacht. Collaborating with the captain, I immersed myself in the intricacies of yacht life—from repairing yacht toilets to cleaning teak decks, to general maintenance, and even handling tenders, water toys, and engine rooms. I've done it all, contributing to the seamless operation of the yacht.
Following this, I set my sights on Dublin, where my primary goal was to immerse myself in the English language. Working as a waiter was not just about refining my professional skills but also about honing my proficiency in English, a crucial aspect of my journey.
Now, armed with certifications including STCW, PDSD, VIRSEC, ENG1, and specialized deckhand courses, I'm ready to take the next leap in my career. Simultaneously, I'm in the process of applying for the B1 B2 visa, anticipating even greater horizons on the yachting landscape.
In essence, I am a 21-year-old with a lifelong love for yachting, a passion for adventure, and a comprehensive set of skills. I am eager to bring my enthusiasm, dedication, and expertise to your esteemed team.
Thank you for considering my maritime journey. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to the success of your dynamic crew.
