Qualified, energetic & experienced MCA Master 3000 with 20 years in the marine industry. My career includes time in the Royal Navy, the merchant navy, and for the last 11 years on private & charter super yachts from 155ft (47m) to 312ft (96m) in length.
I am proficient & proven in project management areas such as yacht refits, high value tender refits & service, implementing ‘Planned Maintenance Systems’ (PMS), developing ‘Safety Management Systems’ (SMS) alongside contractor relations.
Well versed in yacht management styles, guest operations and crew development to create incredible 5* owner & guest experiences
My experience in helming ranges from operating 'landing-craft' in Antarctica (RRS James Clark Ross), to launching 40 ft tenders from a 300 ft yacht (M/Y Tatoosh) to sailing as well as berthing and unberthing vessels of all sizes in between.
Worldwide experience, with proven teamwork ethic in the planning and execution of voyages to remote destinations from Antarctica to Namibia to the Rio Olympics to name but a few. Broad experience through multiple, challenging but successful refits/ surveys at the 2/3, 5 and 15 year intervals in USA, France, Germany, UK and Spain . Entrepreneurial mindset, always keeping eyes open towards new inspiration for ideas to integrate cross industry systems that can benefit vessel maintenance practices for better, faster, safer results that create visual results.
